SHIO is a creative studio based in Berlin and Toronto, working at the intersection of design and art.
We specialize in branding, digital design, art direction, audiovisual work, and immersive experiences—shaping identities and systems that resonate visually, emotionally, and conceptually.
Every project begins with a story—a narrative, a structure, or a tension that becomes the core of the work. From that foundation, we build distinct visual worlds that are both intentional and sensorial, spanning brand systems, campaigns, editorial design, spatial experiences, and art collaborations.
With over a decade of global experience, our collaborators include Nike, Diageo, BMW, MINI, Nissan, Infiniti, and others—alongside experimental projects presented on international platforms such as Ars Electronica Festival.

We begin with dialogue. Listening closely. Collecting visual cues, references, intentions, and contradictions — the things said and unsaid. This stage is about observation and attunement.
2. Define
From the insights, we distill a core idea — a structure, a story, or a mood. This becomes the framework: the logic that informs the visual language, tone, and creative direction.
3. Build
We develop and extend the system across touchpoints — identity, digital, content, motion, packaging. Everything is crafted to speak the same language, shaped by the concept at its core.
4. Refine
We fine-tune details, challenge what’s expected, and make space for nuance. This is where the work settles into its final form — precise, intentional, and ready to live.
