SOMESHIIT/THE FUME, VERTICAL SYSTEM: Fragmenting urban memory through degraded media and cinematic motion

SHIO was commissioned to construct the Spotify Canvas visuals for The Fume: a digital extension of the artist Someshiit’s cinematic flow. The project functions as a specialized visual study rooted in raw, detail-laced storytelling and urban disorientation.
For this track, SHIO led the creative direction, visual design, and production to craft a layered, atmospheric piece. AI-generated memory loops, handheld footage, and TouchDesigner post-processing were utilized to create a drifting, high-density visual: one that integrates seamlessly within the streaming interface.
The system is designed to deepen the sonic identity through repetition and texture. It functions as a visual anchor that extends the narrative beyond the auditory experience. For the artist and the listener, the loop becomes a permanent, digital environment.
The work operates as a visual system built for resonance: engineered to engage, loop, and linger. It translates the conceptual foundation of the release into a lived digital experience.
