HIDDEN ORDERS_overture is the inaugural work in an ongoing series exploring the invisible macro systems that structure our world. Operating at the boundary of natural laws and man-made frameworks, the installation positions humanity as a singular, minute unit within a vast global architecture.
SHIO approached this first chapter through a physical and macroscopic lens, exploring how individual components navigate the overarching shifts of a highly organized, globalized landscape.
This is where Hidden Orders began. The conceptual and spatial logic established here the Microstructural Machine would later extend into live territory, moving from the macroscopic to the molecular, from the immersive to the kinetic.
The installation surrounds its audience completely. Geometric patterns at architectural scale projected across a curved interior, topographic and cellular at the same time.
Viewers lying on a reflective floor, the imagery above and below them simultaneously. The art direction translates complex, interlocking systems into a stark visual vocabulary, mapping global data into a tangible spatial experience.
