THE FERMENT

AN EDIT,

NOT A COLLECTION

inner margin is a select shop for ready to wear, objects and lifestyle goods. The brief was not simply to create a brand that sells things, but to express why certain things are chosen and what makes them worth keeping.

We positioned inner margin as an editor of contemporary life, bringing together apparel, objects and everyday essentials selected for their form, function and longevity. This focus on discernment, permanence and space shaped every part of the brand.

TIME AND TEXTURE

A vase, not a frame

A select shop needs a presence of its own without competing with the brands it carries. If the identity says too much, it overwhelms the collection. If it says too little, it disappears.

We designed inner margin to behave like a vase. It has a quiet presence while giving everything within it room to be seen. The identity recedes when the products should lead and comes forward when the brand needs to speak.

The lowercase serif wordmark holds this balance. Lowercase gives the name a softer, more open presence, while the serif brings warmth and editorial character. It feels distinct without becoming dominant. Clean, but never sterile.

THE CALM

Thinking like

a curator

We approached the identity as a gallery approaches an exhibition. The space does not decorate around the work. It creates the conditions for people to see it properly.

Generous negative space lets individual objects hold attention. Editorial compositions create relationships between apparel, objects and imagery. Changes in scale and orientation introduce movement without adding noise.

The same thinking carries into the store and website. Editorial and commerce share one space, allowing products to be discovered through stories, compositions and moments of pause. Whether encountered physically or digitally, inner margin remains itself.

THE CALM

Form follows feeling

Form follows feeling

The physical identity brings the brand into material and touch. Embossed cards, woven labels, translucent wraps and a steel cable tag create a language that feels precise, tactile and lasting.

Each element was considered for how it looks, how it feels in the hand and how it becomes part of the object it accompanies. The packaging closes simply and says only what it needs to say. Nothing relies on a passing trend. Every piece is intended to feel right now and years from now.

THE CALM

One idea,

expressed

everywhere

Strategy, identity, packaging, campaign, physical space and digital experience were developed from the same foundation.

The result is a coherent system that can hold many voices without losing its own. A brand designed not to compete with what it carries, but to give each object the space to be seen.
